Pittsburgh girl on a budget: Allison

Pittsburgh girls have style and they do it on a budget! Whether they are still living in the city or bringing their style to another place, Pittsburgh girls know how to bargain hunt and look fabulous! Allison, a 27 year-old nurse from Monroeville talks about her style, her best bargain, and that dream purchase!

What is one word to describe your style?

Trendy – but not because I like to wear what everyone is wearing, but because I like to change it up a lot!

What are your wardrobe staples?

Cardigans, camis, and scarves – I could literally wear that everyday

What is one piece of fashion you could never pull off?

High-waisted pants. I’ve tried more than once and it’s a no-go!

What is your favorite clothing season (fall, winter, spring, summer)?

Definitely fall!! I’ll take scarves and boots over shorts and tanks any day!

What stores do you regularly shop in?

Since I like the trends, I like to look for ideas and clothes in H&M and Forever 21. But because I like to find a good deal I also like to shop at Target. They have cute stuff!

What was the best deal you ever found?

I once got a ribbed cardigan at Old Navy for $1.34. I think it was mis-priced and then discounted again – lucky me!

If you were given $1000 and could splurge on one item of clothing/shoes/purses/jewelry, what would you buy?

I would probably splurge on a purse, something crazy like Michael Kors or Fendi. Or a really nice coat from an equally expensive designer!
