The second season of the crime-fighting teen comedy "Supah Ninjas" premiered on Saturday, this time boasting a new filming location. Thanks to series co-creator Eric Garcia, a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School, the production of the show was moved to Pittsburgh following the success of the first batch of episodes.
With the help of 31st Street Studios, "Supah Ninjas" relocated here and made full use of the resources in a less centralized filming spot, including recruiting local talent, like Carnegie Mellon graduates, to serve as extras.
"Supah Ninjas" is the first television series to film in the city full time since production of "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" halted in 2000.
