Hollywood hearthrob slowing Russian traffic

Russian officials in the city of Omsk using cardboard cutouts of Brad Pitt to slow drivers speeding through intersections may be a little short sighted.

If you really want to stop traffic, display images of Pitt's shapely wife, Angelina Jolie.

Duh. Der. Duh.

Omsk police have placed two-dimensional stand-ins of Hollywood celeb Pitt dressed as a traffic cop at Omsk's most dangerous intersections where drives love to put the pedal to the metal.

Police say the cutouts are working as drivers slow down to get a look at a Hollywood hunk in a uniform.

Either Omsk has a lot of Pitt-envy female speeders and gay drivers (and there's nothing wrong with that) or the straight guys are also slowing down hoping that behind the cutout of every great leading man is a great leading lady with a cutout worth slamming on the brakes.

Omsk is missing a real Kodak moment here.
