Earlier in the week, Entertainment Weekly also reported on some new casting information, as a cappella group Pentatonix (which won season three of "The Singoff" has also signed on. They will play a rival group to the main characters (the Barden Bellas) and likely their stiffest competition. It isn't a stretch to state that the Pentatonix are one of the most popular a cappella groups in the world right now.

Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Elizabeth Banks, and Adam Devine are all planning to return to the second film, with the addition of Snow being a bit of a surprise as she was a senior in the first one. Maybe she will be coming back as a teacher or coach in order to help the team overcome their latest obstacle in competition. It was important to producers that she be included, so she must play a big part.

There is likely to be more information about the "Pitch Perfect 2" cast to come out through spoilers in the near future, especially since there is some time till it finally hits theaters. The release date is set for May 15, 2015, meaning it could go up against one of the latest Marvel releases to start out that summer season.

The original film made $113 million in the combined box office, but also became the most watched On Demand movie ever. The immense success on the secondary market as well as through music sales led to demand for a sequel. Now fans have less than a year to see the return of Fat Amy, Beca, and Chloe.
