The sequel to "Pitch Perfect" will begin filming in Baton Rouge, La. in May and will be directed by Elizabeth Banks according to a report released on Feb. 14, 2014. The sequel will be appropriately named "Pitch Perfect 2" and will be Bank's directional debut.
"Pitch Perfect 2" is set to begin filming in Baton Rouge, La. in May and will more than likely have some scenes shot at Louisiana State University, as did the original movie. "Pitch Perfect" also filmed at Baton Rouge Community College and Southern University, also in Baton Rouge.
The original movie had a fresh plot loaded with humor, as Kendrick and Wilson played misfits just arriving at college for their freshman year. They form a collegiate a cappella singing group that goes into competition with other collegiate singing groups.
"Pitch Perfect" was a box office hit making over $110 million in national and international sales.
"Pitch Perfect 2" will be distributed by Universal Films and is expected to be released one year after filming begins in May of 2015.
