Chicago area resident, Josheph Finley, 63 is still recovering from a viscious attack by pit bulls while jogging near Chicago's lakefront.
ABC 7 Chicago reported today that Finley's injuries were "equivalent to stepping on a landmine."
The two pit bulls that attacked Finley had to be shot at by Chicago Police more than 5 times before they released their deadly grips.
Finley remains in the ICU at Stroger Hospital after Doctors were unable to save his leg, which had to be partially amputated. Finley's arms have not been amputated despite orginal reports that his flesh and muscle were left "literally hanging off of them with massive amounts of blood pouring out" However, he is unable to use one of his arms due to wounds sustained during the attack.
Pit Bulls have had a long history of viscious attacks, as have many other breeds. It is important to note, that this was only one isolated incident.
