Tia Maria Torres is a mother and a top Pit Bull trainer and the founder of Villalobos Rescue Center. This rescue is the largest rescue facility for Pit Bulls. She has a great love for the Pit Bull breeds and has made it her personal mission to make sure everyone she comes in contact knows that Pit Bulls are very sweet creatures. They have had too many years of getting a bad rap and she is trying to show the world just how good of a dog this breed can be. At her rescue they have ten acres of rehabilitation facility for Pit Bulls. It is there just outside of LA that she retrains over 200 Pit Bulls to be placed into new loving homes. This is a place for second chances for these dogs.
She has started a new television show on Animal Planet called “Pitt Bulls and Parolees”. This show will show the drama and bittersweet moments that these dogs and ex-convicts go through to help each other to become better. This one woman is utilizing her agility, determination, strength and energy to help save Pit Bulls from the horrible situations they came from and in return helping to give parolees a chance to mend their own lives and be a better person in society. The show started October 30th, 2009.
