Pit bull given until sundown to get out of town

What is this, the wild, wild west? Pretty much true as this pit bull is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

It seems Scooby got out of the house and was running around the neighborhood playing. He made the grave error of running up to a freaked out housewife with a taser. The woman immediately shocked the poor dog for no reason. He was only playing. Scooby is a wonderful social pet who loves people. He just made the error of approaching the wrong one, yet another person who hates pit bulls.

Scooby is not an aggressive dog, but he is being treated like a pariah. Instead of being taken to a vet where he could be treated for the cruel tazing, he was taken to Fort Worth Animal Control.

Scooby has one day to get out of town. Rescuers are working to get a foster home outside the greater Ft. Worth area so Scooby will not be killed for running up to the wrong human…for being a friendly dog.

Liz Rainey with Centex Humane Society in Killeen has generously offered to help find a foster home for Scooby.
