On Thursday, the Arizona Humane Society announced that Ryder, the severely neglected pit bull who was discovered hanging from a doorknob in Phoenix, Ariz., is crossing a major threshold - she will be moving into a foster home.
On Monday, the Valley’s most beloved pit bull will head into foster care, where she will spend the next several weeks getting plenty of love, care and socialization while she continues to bulk up.
Ryder has gained an impressive 14 pounds since she was rescued from 28-year-old Corina Ann Martinez's residence several weeks ago; today, the once neglected dog weighs 42 pounds.
On Monday, before heading to her new foster home, Ryder will have a special visit from the three police officers who rescued her, as well as from the detective who is working on her abuse case.
