Did Pistorius have 'roid rage'? New reports posted today at Fox News suggest Oscar Pistorius may have killed girlfriend out of 'roid rage'. The article says steroids were reportedly found in the blade runners home after his girlfriend was shot. In addition to reports of a bloody cricket bat, the illegal steroid claims have shed new light on the case against the 26-year-old athlete.
Authorities have ordered the athlete to be tested for the banned drug, possibly in anticipation of a possible defense claim that Pistorius acted in “roid rage.”
“Steroid drugs were found at Pistorius’s home together with evidence of heavy drinking,” says a source. “That’s why police have specifically ordered that he be tested for steroids.”
It is not yet known whose blood is all over the cricket bat, but obviously forensic testing will clear that mystery up.
Oscar Pistorius has been charged with murder for the shooting of his girlfriend, 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp, during the early morning hours on Valentine's Day.
His management team released a statement saying:
"The alleged murder is disputed in the strongest terms. He [Pistorius]would also like to express his thanks through us today for all the messages of support he has received -- but as stated our thoughts and prayers today should be for Reeva and her family -- regardless of the circumstances of this terrible, terrible tragedy."
Do you think steroids were found in Oscar's home? If so, did he act out of rage from the drugs? Or is it possible these allegations have been made up to generate negative opinion of Pistorius before his trial?
