Pistorius case (Video)

The bizarre story continues in this dramatic relationship murder mystery.

According to The New York Times, "In a remarkable twist in the case of Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee track star accused of killing his girlfriend, the South African police said on Thursday that the officer leading the investigation is himself facing seven criminal charges of attempted murder."

Chief investigating officer Hilton Botha admitted to sloppy police work when under cross-examination and could not rule out Pistorius’s statements based on the existing evidence. In his story, "he opened fire through a locked bathroom door thinking there was an intruder in his home in a gated community and had no intention of killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, 29, a model and law-school graduate." He is reportedly being moved off of the case.

According to CNN.com, that doesn't leave Pistorius off the hook. Nike has dropped him as a sponsor but are keeping an eye on the case, regardless. Rumors are flying now of Officer Botha and more questionable stories about his past suspicious possible criminal activities. There are more parts of the Pistorius story that don't add up such as two cell phones in the murder area, the gun in an unusual position in front of the shower not to mention the shooting through the bathroom door. Hopefully the law works properly in this case and works out like a great episode of CSI or Law & Order.
