Pistons visit Alcatraz

In town to face the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, the Detroit Pistons paid a quick visit to Alcatraz Island today.

Players and staff posed for pictures at San Francisco's Pier 33 before boarding the Alcatraz Cruises ferry for a fifteen minute ride to the Rock.

Charlie Villanueva, Andre Drummond, José Calderón, and Jonas Jerebko, were among the players recognized by tourists as they took the cellhouse audio tour. The group was also given a private tour of the hospital.

Shooting guard Brandon Knight, victim of DeAndre Jordan's violent dunk, reportedly appeared in good spirits despite having to get around in a wheelchair after severely spraining his ankle in last night's game against Utah.

The Pistons (23-43) are looking to snap a six-game losing streak while the Warriors (36-29) are coming of a 29-point win over the New York Knicks Monday in which they played their best defense of the season.
