Yo ho, yo ho, pirate fans. The latest entry in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series just finished filming on November 19 and is now in the post-production stage. According to The HD Room, Yahoo! will have the teaser trailer for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” posted at 4p.m EST/1p.m. PST on December 13. The Hollywood News reported that the teaser trailer will also be attached to “Tron: Legacy,” the highly anticipated sequel to the 1982 Jeff Bridges film, which opens December 17.
The fourth film sees the return of Johnny Depp, Keith Richards and Geoffrey Rush. The newcomers include Ian McShane (TV’s “The Pillars of the Earth”), Penelope Cruz (“Nine”) and Richard Griffiths (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”). Rob Marshall (“Chicago,” “Nine”) has replaced Gore Verbinski as director.
Captian Jack Sparrow (Depp) and Barbossa (Rush) are on a quest to find the Fountain of Youth. While on their journey, Jack comes across the beautiful Angelica (Cruz), an old flame of his. She turns against him and forces him and Barbossa to board the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship that belongs to Blackbeard (McShane). It turns out Blackbeard is after the Fountain of Youth as well.
