Tami Erin, the model and actress perhaps best known for her 1988 portrayal of the beloved pig-tailed children’s character Pippi Longstocking in the film “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking,” was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 14 in Los Angeles, on drunk driving charges and felony hit and run.
TMZ quoted one source as saying that Erin, now 39-years-old, was “totally out of control ... just out of it."
While driving drunk in L.A., Erin allegedly smashed into three cars, and then just kept driving.
One person had to be hospitalized as a result of her driving drunk.
When the Los Angeles police managed to catch up with her, she was arrested on the spot after failing her field sobriety test.
Erin was only 11-years-old when she starred as Pippi Longstocking.
The now X-rated child star, who just released her own sex tape this fall, had her bail set at $100,000.
Erin produced her homemade sex video and then sold it after her ex-boyfriend threatened to sell it himself, without the former child star’s permission, according to The Hollywood Gossip.
