A series of glowing new reviews of Pippa Middleton's first book are raising eyebrows. In a Feb. 7 report, the Telegraph claims five five-star reviews of Pippa's party-planning book "Celebrate" showed up on the website of her parent's company, Party Pieces. The authenticity of the reviews are coming into question after they were posted in rapid succession and immediately following a not-so glowing review also posted to the site.
According to reports, the reviews rave about "Celebrate" describing it as "excellent," "lovely," "fab," "very good," and "well-written … and useful." The only problem is, overall, Pippa Middleton's book hasn't been very well received by critics and its sales have been sluggish. "The Party Pieces website does not, alas, furnish the full names and addresses of the people who posted them, merely giving their first or user names – Gabriella, Poppygirl, Sarah, etc.," Telegraph reports confirming the webmasters did not cooperate with a request to help verify the validity of the reviews in question.
It's worth pointing out, with 69 reviews on Amazon.com, Pippa's party planning guide averages 4 out of 5 stars by reviewers. "Celebrate" is currently ranked #12,627 in book sales on the site.
As Examiner.com previously reported, the publisher is considering shelving two follow up books by Kate Middleton's sister due to "Celebrate's" lackluster performance.
