Pippa Middleton showed up at the Cheltenham racing meet in a bright yellow coat accessorized with a stunning fur hat. You can read more here on a March 15 article on The Daily Mail about her day out with her sister, The Duchess of Cambridge, and her cousin Zara Phillips. All three of the young ladies chose tailored coats for the race, but Pippa looked sunny and bright in her yellow cloth coat.
The Daily Mail didn't care for her overall look, though.
Meanwhile 29-year-old Pippa set out to dazzle her eligible racing date Tom Kingston in a bespoke bright yellow coat by British designer Katherine Hooker.
But finishing the look with brown tights, brown knee-high boots and a cocoa-coloured Cossack hat gave the overall look an unfortunate 'bananagirl' effect.
Yellow is the big color for spring, and according to The Chic Sheet, the official Pantone ID is "lemon zest." For Spring 2013, you will see this bright, cheerful yellow showing up everywhere.
Even while the weather is still nippy, yellow long sleeve tops and jackets remind us that warm, sunny days are not too far away. The spring fashion runways were popping with yellow, and celebrities are already showing up for events in March wearing the feel-good color, too.
Roz Pactor of The Chic Sheet likes to use this season's bright yellow to add pop to a black and white or just gray ensemble.
