Pioneer, Laurie Foley, is thriving online and in the tribe

I launched The Women's Business Tribe recently. A tribe for remarkable women in business, women worth talking about. Recall the criteria for membership.Powerful tribes aren't open to everyone. The exclusivity makes it work. In this case, the exclusivity will come from three things:

1. Fantabulous women only will be in this tribe (sorry guys).
2. Women selected for this tribe will be remarkable, unconventional, and represent powerful women that support one another.
3. Moxie is required.

Pioneer, Laurie Foley, is thriving online and in the tribe.

Laurie was an early pioneer among women in computer science and for years, she was the only woman in the room. She spent 25 years in technology: teaching, researching and consulting. She earned a Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology because she thought computers were hard to use and she wanted to be part of making them more accessible to everyone. While earning her PhD., at age 26, Laurie was the youngest woman ever and the fourth woman to earn that degree at Georgia Tech.

After several years of academic and corporate research life, Laurie got the entrepreneurial bug, reinvented her career, and started her own consulting practice while simultaneously starting a family. Laurie is a certified Martha Beck Coach and her commitment now is to help entrepreneurs thrive online without feeling overwhelmed, especially women who are having their own entrepreneurial adventure. Yay!

Reinvention is a powerful thing that people everywhere are confronting - by choice or by force. I've done it for myself multiple times and I'm not afraid to take that risk to taste something new. I hope that by sharing my love of social technology, I can make that reinvention process a little less intimidating for people who want to embrace it.

Laurie's passion is to help entrepreneurs leverage the power of technology and social media in ways that are authentic and meaningful.

I place a high value on science, and I believe wholeheartedly in the wisdom of intuition.

Thanks for being a pioneer and paving the way Laurie! Welcome to the tribe!
