The popularity of Pinterest has inspired all sorts of ideas for DIY projects for home and garden, and of course weddings. Here are a few cute and easy DIY ideas for wedding favors inspired by Pinterest pins. Any of them would also be perfect for shower or bachelorette parties too.

Tile Coasters: These tile coasters are made with scrapbook paper, felt, and tiles found at any home improvement store. The scrapbook paper is the key to the look of the coasters, so take time to pick out the designs you want. Do you want the color to go with your wedding décor? Do you want several different corresponding designs? They are made with mod podge over the paper, and then gluing felt on the bottom of the tile so it will not scratch any furniture.

Teacup Candles: This project takes a little more for supplies, but the result is a really cute and definitely unique favor. These candles are made of soy wax flakes and created in teacups. The teacups make these into more than ordinary candle favors. The small teacups shown in this link make them especially cute.

Pretty Garden Seed Packets: These are very simple favors, perfect for an outdoor wedding. The presentation is key, with just some pretty fabric and twine wrapping that compliment your wedding décor. The garden seeds could be for the flowers used in your wedding or just a favorite. They could also be for herbs, some with a delicious scent and easy to grow for garden novices. Use seeds that are in season so guests can plant them right away.

Mint To Be: Mints are a good favor for any dinner for their obvious breath freshening power. These mints are wrapped in pretty paper, twine, and a tiny silk flower. As a bonus, they will dress up any table. The mints also tie into the wedding theme with “mint to be” tags that can be personalized with the bride and groom’s names.
