This tasting also presents two excellent opportunities for the intrepid taster to expand his or her knowledge. First, Loring and AP Vin are both offering wines from in the same vintage, from the same vineyards (Rosella’s, Gary’s, Keefer Ranch). You will be able to compare how winemaking styles create something delicious and different from the same place. The second opportunity is with Loring and Pali, each of whom offers a Pinot from the Willamette Valley, in Oregon. Here, it’s an opportunity to see how the winemaker’s style is impacted by the very different appellations of California and Oregon.
