Pink Taco Makes a Statement with Anti-Putin Cocktail Promotion

Starting today, Pink Taco will be donating proceeds from the sales of its limited-time-only Moscow Margarita to support a leading LGBT nonprofit organization as a statement against Vladimir Putin. With the 2014 Winter Olympics underway, the Los Angeles restaurant chain is launching the promotion amidst controversy surrounding the Russian president's anti-gay laws.

The Moscow Margarita ($8) is a special house cocktail made with tequila, fresh lime juice and ginger beer and one dollar from each cocktail sold will be donated to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people.

The Olympics-themed promotion is available at both Los Angeles Pink Taco locations from now until February 24:
