Pink, aka Alecia Moore, was performing in Philadelphia Sunday night when she noticed a little girl crying in the audience. Pink stopped singing in the middle of an acoustic version of her hit “Who Knew”, telling her guitarist to, “hold on a minute”. Pink then got to the bottom of what was upsetting the little girl, which was some women who were fighting nearby, and offered the child a stuffed animal toy and a rice crispy treat. Pink also admonished the quarreling women for causing the young fan to cry in the first place, according to a story on Starcasm on Wednesday, March 20.
Videos of the event, which were taken by multiple fans’ cell phone cameras are now going viral. A good version can be viewed by clicking here. The extended version can be viewed on Entertainmentwise.com.
Pink offered up the toy which had been tossed onstage by another fan, common practice at her concerts apparently, since she became a mom herself. The “Stupid Girls” singer gave birth to daughter Willow in June of 2011.
The child was too shy to come up to the stage and take the gifts from the flamboyant rocker, so Pink had other audience members pass them back to her while telling the little girl she looked pretty. The young fan was dressed all in pink.
Moore also gave the girl some comforting advice, telling her not to cry, to wait until she’s older to cry, with a chuckle. After quieting the child, she turned back to the fighting females and admonished, “Now cut it out, y'all. You're all grown a** women”!
Alecia, 33, gave birth to 20-month-old daughter Willow Sage with 37 year-old motocross husband Cary Hart, who she credits for changing her life. In a September 2012 “People” interview, the Pennsylvania native admitted she was “a delinquent,” before getting pregnant with Willow.
She confessed she was, “an angry, rebellious, self-righteous, ambitious, crazy person who liked to have too much fun. Having a child is the best thing that could happen”, Pink gushed.
Seeing what she did at Sunday night’s concert, it’s easy to see that motherhood comes naturally to Pink.
