For a coffee house that is not the typical setting, you must not overlook the Pink Spot. The Pink Spot blends a coffee shop, with an ice cream parlor; and is attached to a pizza joint, now that sounds like a party in the making.
At the Pink Spot, you will find that half of the ceiling as well as the counters are an inevitable bright pink, almost struggling with the pale yellow that surrounds the dining area. There is plenty of seating with small tables throughout, along with a comfortable couch and chairs, giving the feeling of a cozy family room. Games and books are available if you plan to stay awhile, as is free Wi-Fi for the modern age. Patio seating is also available out front. Parking out front is limited and narrow so be wary.
The employee was friendly and ready to help. French Roast is the coffee of the day, everyday according to the menu, and had a rich smooth flavor. The passion for coffee was not as evident here as can be found at Cartel Coffee Lab, however the quality was good, and the assorted offerings are worth the visit.
The Pink Spot has a full offering of espresso drinks, as well as allowing creativity to assemble concoctions with the many available ingredients. Breakfast is available all day, including Belgian Waffles, an egg sandwich, and many others. Muffins, cookies, and bagels are available, and of course, Pink Spot has sixteen rotating flavors of ice cream to tempt each sweet tooth. Pick a readymade ice cream taco or chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick, one of the many sundae and split offerings, a shake or malt, blended drinks, or a simple scoop of ice cream. Ice cream portions are generous, so bring your appetite.
The Pink Spot also offers catering, parties, including a build your own sundae party, and pizza. To top it all off, a visit from a hot pink Gorilla, "Pinkie" can also be arranged to entertain your guests.
The Pink Spot can be found on West Thomas between Central and 7th Ave at 49 West Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ (602)265-3889. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 7 am -9 pm, Friday 7 am - 10 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8 am - 10 pm. It is directly attached to ZPizza and has a hair salon directly above.

We use to go there all the time when we lived downtown...sometimes they have live music on the weekends too! Great place!
Sweet deal! As soon as I'm off this diet, I'll have to check it out and then of course start my diet again.
Sounds like a perfect place to go for a special birthday, wish mine was not in Dec!
