FREE PARKING AND FREE ADMISSION
The Pinellas Park FL Amateur Radio Club will be holding a ham radio & electronic flea market on 5-24-2014 starting at 8 am [or sunrise] at Freedom Lake Park off 49th Street. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow hams, sell your junque, and make some money in the process. There is room for about 50 tailgate vehicles, with usually around 30 to 40 sellers present. All kinds of electronic parts and equipment will be on display & for sale. Food, coffee, and soft drinks will be available, and everyone is welcome - hams, non-hams, xyl's, yl's, and kids. Bring your relatives.
More information on this "wormfest" can be found at this link. A map is also linked from the wormfest page if you need driving directions. One of the main attractions is Freedom Lake Park all by itself - it has picnic tables, shelters, a lake, washrooms, and a paved access drive. It's a great place to bring the whole family. The Park is located near 49th Street N. and Lake Blvd, near the junction of 49th Street N. and US-19 in Pinellas County. We recommend you arrive a few minutes early, maybe 7:30 am or so, in order to get the best deals before they disappear.
