Pine View Municipal Golf Course staff hosted a huge Customer Appreciation Day party on Thursday to say thank you to the organizations and groups that chose the east-end course for their special events in 2013.
About 100 invitees went pin seeking in an 18-hole scramble tournament and were then treated to a terrific roast beef dinner and prize gala.
Meanwhile, all of the champions in the various competitions at the course in 2013 have been crowned.
In the match-play tournament, Nathan “The Batman” Battigelli defeated all four opponents during the summer by the 4 and 2 margin to emerge victorious.
In course championship play, Matt Boucher earned the A Flight title, Jason Paquette took B Flight, Kevan Shantz captured C Flight and Randy McGee is the 2013 Senior champ.
And the tandem of John “Skeeter” Skeet and Marc Levac won the Pine View Fall Classic.
Pine View is a full-service 36-hole facility, featuring the Main Course and Short Course.
The Main Course is a 6,679-yard, par-71 parkland design. The mature style course features large landing areas for tee shots as well as large putting surfaces that are well guarded by bunkers and have plenty of undulations.
The 18-hole Short Course is a 4,025-yard par-64 layout with three sets of tee-markers providing for a nice variety of distances that give beginners and casual players stress-free rounds while low-handicappers can work on their iron games.
Pine View continues to welcome players to the fall portion of the season with a couple of special offers.
On Mondays, two can play for $40. The autumn green fees are $35 for 18 holes on the Main Course and it's $25 to play the Short Course. There’s also a $15 twilight rate.
Pine View is located just south of the Queensway at 1471 Blair Road.
