“We’ve started to host Thursday Nine and Dines every two weeks with local musical guests providing entertainment for men and women players to enjoy in a fun-filled social setting after their rounds,” said Don Costello of Pine View. “This Thursday, Random Play performs and Bytown Catering caters a chicken and steak combo dinner along with salads, dessert, coffee and a complementary glass of Rickard’s White.

“The nine and dine joins our ladies league, seniors league and our launching efforts of a men’s league to create a member-like course where the golfers don’t have to be members.”

The offer blends nine or 18 holes of golf with the meal and the tunes for a total cost of $40. However, if patrons are into just checking out the eats and songs, the cost comes in at $25.

Costello says all tee-times are to be booked for play starting at 2 p.m. and after on both 18-hole tracks and reservations are encouraged in order to prepare the proper amount of food for the crowd.

Here is a quick peek at both courses:

The Main Course is a 6,679-yard, par 71 parkland design. The mature style course provides ample landing areas for tee shots as well as large putting surfaces that are well guarded by bunkers and have plenty of undulations.

The Short Course plays to a par of 64 and measures 4,025 yards in length. It is unlike other executive courses in that players will use every club in their bags.
