Deondre J. Jenkins, 27, was arrested in Austin for transporting the victim to San Antonio, Dallas and Austin for prostitution.
Jenkins faces serious felony human trafficking charges from the Texas Attorney General’s Office after Greg Abbott’s Fugitive and Special Investigations Units arrested.
The 16-year-old had been forced to engage in over a 100 paid sexual encounters for Jenkins who used online advertisements to solicit her as a prostitute.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin police officers located the girl and took her into protective custody, after receiving information from Texas Department of Public Safety and the AG’s Special Investigations Unit about a recent online advertisement in their city.
The Travis County Sheriff’s Department has transported her back to Texas.
Jenkins was arrested Wednesday shortly after his return to Texas.
A referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has resulted in Jenkins being charged with one count of trafficking a child for sexual purpose. This is a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison.
