Pilot Pen Update

American Sam Querrey will face Argentina's Fernando Verdasco in the Pilot Pen final tonight at 7PM.New Haven, CT (8/29/09) - Rain has made the schedulers at the Pilot Pen work like madmen the past couple of days. Today's tentative schedule, which, if you tune in to CBS as I am writing this, has obviously changed. The scheduled women's final, Elena Vesnina (RUS) vs. Caroline Wozniacki (DEN), which was to begin at 1PM, has been postponed to later this afternoon.

Men's semifinal action took place indoors late this morning and into this afternoon. American Sam Querrey defeated Jose Acasuso (ARG) 6-3, 6-4 in the first semifinal to advance to the men's final, tentatively scheduled for 7PM tonight. Querrey will take on Fernando Verdasco (ESP), who defeated Igor Andreev (RUS), 7-6, 7-6.

The women's final will be aired on CBS with coverage switching to ESPN tonight, for the men's final.
