Pillsbury recall: A huge recall of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls with icing is sweeping through nationwide fridges this week, as General Mills announced yesterday a voluntary recall with a warning: plastic pieces may be found in batches of the roll’s dough. The plastic is believed to have come in contact while still in the production line stage, the Monitor reports this Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Pillsbury recall won’t affect all Pillsbury products, fortunately, but the warning is extended to consumers who bought refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing. General Mills made the recall sweep, according to their statement:
“Precaution because the dough may contain fragments from a broken piece of plastic on the production line. These products are sold in grocery stores and in batches nationally. No other Pillsbury dough products are being recalled."
For those who have Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls or the equally tasty Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls baking, no worries: the warning does not encompass these products.
It is 8-count single and double packages of cinnamon rolls with icing, concluded the press release, that are part of the Pillsbury recall. Here are the specific product batches included in the sweep below, so bakers, please be sure to check carefully.
