Friday, General Mills issued a Pillsbury recall on refrigerated cinnamon rolls and stated that some units may contain small pieces of plastic from their production line; the Pillsbury recall includes two different types of cinnamon rolls.
General Mills statement read:
The recall was issued as a "precaution because the dough may contain fragments from a broken piece of plastic on the production line. These products are sold in grocery stores nationally. No other Pillsbury dough products are being recalled."
The two types that were issued in the Pillsbury recall were: Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing and Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing 2-pack. The best by dates on the packages included: 30OCT2013 and 31OCT2013 and 18OCT2013, 26OCT2013 and 31OCT2013, according to the CS Monitor.
The Pillsbury recall specifically stated that Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls and Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls are not included in this recall.
