“It will introduce, I think, a sound and feel for my new album The Pink Print,” Minaj said to reporters at the 2014 Billboard Music Festival.

The song, produced by Dr. Luke, is much slower and heartfelt than previous releases.

“Pills 'n potions, we're overdosing,” sings Minaj. “I'm angry but I still love you. Pills 'n potions, we're overdosing. Can't stand it but I still love you.”

Minaj uploaded the new song to Sound Cloud and linked it to her Instagram account early this morning.
“It is just a very truthful story,” said Minaj.

The more down to earth song is complimented by a new style as well.

She commented about her new image and style of music to MTV.

“I went so far to the other side that there’s only one place to go from there,” Minaj told MTV in an interview last week. “You can either continue doing costumes or you can just say, ‘Hey, guess what? This will shock them even more. Doing absolutely nothing will shock them even more.’”

Minaj has been cutting back on the colorful wigs and nails, instead going for a more natural look.

This is Minaj’s third studio album. The whole thing is set to be released later this year.

Fans can go see Minaj in theaters right now. Minaj’s first acting role in The Other Woman was well received.

Minaj plays Lydia, a coworker and friend to Cameron Diaz’s character, Carley Whitten.

The Other Woman opened April 25, and made over $20 million in the first weekend alone. $9.1 million of that was made just on Friday night according to
