The first Nintendo 3DS XL limited edition is finally reaching North American shores on March 24th, 2013, the Pikachu Yellow Limited Edition.
For those interested in pre-ordering the Pikachu Yellow Limited Edition 3DS XL, Gamestop.com and Newegg have a page up for purchase. As Target, Walmart, Toys R Us and other retailers will have it up for sale, there is no official purchase page up at this time as of March 17th, 2013.
Europe and Japan have seen this limited edition already. As other limited edition consoles have come to America such as the Zelda and Fire Emblem regular 3DS, this will be the first XL limited edition.
Other countries have received 3DS XL limited editions such as Europe, which has the Fire Emblem 3DS XL. Reports have also said that Japan is also receiving a Shin Megami Tensei 3DS XL limited edition and the Disney Magic Castle 3DS XL, among others.
The 3DS XL has a 90% larger screen and an extended battery life.
At this time, North America has only a few colors to choose from for the 3DS XL. These colors include: Red/Black, Blue/Black, and Pink/White.
