America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan called in to The Howard Stern Show this morning to talk about his new British talk show, his thoughts on how fame effects (and AFFECTS) people like Susan Boyle and his guilt over introducing Paul McCartney to his now ex-wife Heather Mills. The America’s Got Talent judge was candid with the Howard Stern Show cast about his own late start in the world of fame.
Piers Morgan attributes the fact that he was relatively unaffected by fame because it came to him so late in life. When Howard Stern asked Morgan his opinion on the meltdowns that accompany fame for stars like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, Morgan chalked it up to youth and inexperience and even asserted that he might have done the same thing had he been handed his advantages so young.
It was the insight that Piers Morgan gave into the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills relationship, however, that made the interview a classic Howard Stern Show investigative report. Morgan takes full responsibility for the introduction of the former Beatles megastar and peg-legged siren.
When Howard Stern dug deep to find out how the one-legged vegan anti-landmine activist-turned-Dancing-with-the-Stars reject Heather Mills snagged one of the world’s greatest living artists, Piers Morgan didn’t hold back. Morgan characterized Heather Mills as someone who wielded her power to “glamour” the men she encountered like a vampire from True Blood with her seemingly innocuous tales of philanthropy and personal struggles for world peace.
Morgan stated that if Heather Mills is really the free-loving vegan flower child that she presented herself to be, then she wouldn’t have taken a penny of Paul McCartney’s money. Heather Mills is reported to have received more than $50 million in the divorce settlement.
So,…will Piers Morgan be introducing Paul McCartney to Susan Boyle next?

Hey Nazi! Merriam Webster's online defines "effect": –verb (used with object) 10. to produce as an effect; bring about; accomplish; make happen: The new machines finally effected the transition to computerized accounting last spring.

I agree with the author. Effect can be used as a verb that essentially means "to bring about," or "to accomplish." For example, you could say, "Aardvark hoped to effect change within the burrow."
Piers Morgan's assessment of Heather Mills is right-on. She is a classic sociopath. You cannot believe a single word that comes out of the woman's mouth.
