As an update to the usual motorcycle look, leather now comes in the quilted option. With these little squares of leather, not only is it more feminine, but also a fresh pop to your wardrobe.

But whereas standard quilting refers to piecing different fabrics together to make a patchwork design, the leather here is all one piece, with just the added detail of topstitching to create the "quilted" look.

This unique look takes the rough and tough vibe of leather and makes it classic, very old school Chanel.

But rather than spending thousands to obtain the fabulous design house's pieces, look no further than some of your favorite and more affordable retailers. Check out my slideshow to the left for some fabulous quilted leather finds.

Whether you opt for a classic quilted bag or a solid pair of biker boots, one thing is guaranteed-- the quilting on the leather (whether faux or real) will keep you fashionable year round.

After all, this isn't your grandma's quilted blanket.
