While most of the VMA buzz seems to be about Kanye West and his treatment of Taylor Swift, once that calms down everyone will be reflecting on the outrageous outfits and performance by Lady Gaga.
After all, how many other VMA performances over the years have featured wheelchairs and fake blood?
Lady Gaga performed "Paparazzi" and started her song wrapped in white lace and lying on the floor -- Madonna circa 1984, anybody? It was bizarre from beginning to end, when the pop superstar began spontaneously "bleeding" and ended the song dangling, bloody, above her backup dancers.
Lady Gaga had many costume changes throughout the night, below is a slideshow of a couple of her different looks.
