February 1, 2010 - The Pickwick Players Annual Fundraiser the Great Gatsby Gala is just around the corner on Saturday, February 11th! Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby and support a local theater at the same time, then here is your opportunity!
The Great Gatsby Gala will be an evening of food, drink, great music, silent and live auction items such as theatre tickets, wine lots, hotel stays, and a walk on role in their next production, Bye Bye Birdie. Pickwick Players is a local non-profit theatre organization that strives in theatre education. Pickwick Players has operated as an educational theatre utilizing both adults and children of while providing professional educators and mentors. Their goal is to bring high quality and affordable theatre to the community. Part of their commitment to theatre education is that participation is always free for all ages. So they depend on public donors along with their theatre productions to continue.
The event will be on Saturday, February 11th from 7pm – 10pm at the Star of the Sea Event Center. Admission is $35 in advance and $45 at the door. 1920’s and 1930’s period dress is encouraged!
