Just before 2:00 p.m. today, April 7 2014 police were called for a pick up truck that went out of control on Veterans Highway near Elmhurst Ave in Bristol Twp., Bucks County Pa.. According to police, there were no other vehicles involved and the driver was alone in the vehicle. PECO was called on a priority.

After power was secured, then a tow truck was able to move the wreckage. Part of the truck was tangled in a junction box which had to be replaced. A tree was snapped and pushed into a fence. The driver reported no injuries. He related to police that he was tired from working an 18 hour shift before the crash and was tired.

There were no road closures. Only one lane of traffic was pushed over into one lane until PECO could put another pole and transformer in place of the wrecked pole. There was no report of any power outages in the area.
