The Hard Rock Cafe, 22-24 Clinton Street in Boston has Jacob Heal on Friday, May 9, 2014. After winning the WLNH New Hampshire Idol contest, Heal was signed to a two song record deal with Jimmy Landry, a Capital Records A & R rep/producer/song writer. Fast forward to 2010, Beal completed a ten song album on Cakewalk’s V-Studio 700 and SONAR software with Landry’s producing, mixing, songwriting, instrumentation and A&R skills. Heal is signed with Big Crush Records, John Fleming Entertainment.

The hard rock cover band Doubleshot Boston will be at Pete's Bar and Grill, 540 South Street in Quincy (617)471-9714 on Friday, May 9, 2014. You know this band, they rock the house down and play everything from Ozzy to Metallica and Disturbed. Hard Rock is Doubleshot!

On Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Uncle Eddy's Oceanside Tavern, 8 Oceanfront, Salisbury (978)465-9779 it's the 8th Annual Boobfest for the Boston Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The event will run from 5:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. There is a $5. cover or donation to participate. Music will be provided by the following bands: Boy Named Sue, Common Ground, Brooklyns, the Shakedown Band, Preciphist, G4D and Random Acts.

A favorite Boston country band, Walkin the Line will be playing at the Lo Kai, 1655 Lakeview Ave. in Dracut (978) 957-2302 on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Walkin the Line is a modern top 40 southern country rock band whose influences include Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown Band among others. Bring your dancing shoes for this one!

Professor Harp returns with the blues at Smokin Joe's BBQ and Blues, 351 Washington Street, Boston (617)254-5227 on Saturday. Harp received the 15th Annual Readers Poll award in 2012 for "Outstanding Harmonica Player." In 2012 Harp released a CD entitled, "They Call Me the Professor" with a little help from his friends such as Doug James from Roomful of Blues, Bob Margolin from Muddy Waters, Mike Labelle from Young Neil and the Vipers and the late John Packer.

Also on Saturday, May 10, 2014, Section 42 will be at Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub, 1 Rainin Road, Woburn (781)281-7290 and Craig Carter and the Hurricane Trio will be at the Blackthorne Public House, 402 Turnpike Street, South Easton (508)297-2236 on Saturday night. Showtime is 9:00 p.m.
