As many have already discovered, the skin around the eyes is extremely delicate and one of the first areas to show aging.
When one matures, it’s important to have a concealer to hide imperfections such as fine lines and dark circles around the eyes. However, finding the right concealer is the goal.
“Oftentimes, people use their favorite concealer to even out their skin tone, but within a couple of hours, it may actually begin to cake on and reveal more fine lines and wrinkles,” said the spokesperson from Skin Care Heaven, an e-commerce store and skin research center in San Diego County. “It’s all about finding the right eye cosmetic balance and making sure that the product just isn't hiding imperfections, but is also nourishing this delicate area.”
A favorite is a product like Teamine Concealer by Revision.
“What makes products like Teamine Concealer so fantastic is that it not only conceals, but it hydrates and is packed with antioxidants,” she said. “It’s being coined at the anti-aging product which also brightens under the eyes.”
When someone finds a product that can offer anti-aging benefits as well as cosmetic goals, she said, the next knowing how to apply it.
“Many beauty experts recommend using the non-dominant ring finger for application,” she said.
Steps to the application also include:
· Apply small dots of the concealer in a “V” shape underneath the eye
· Apply another small dot on each inner corner of the eye on the outer bridge of the nose.
· Once all is “dotted” begin gently smoothing in the inner corner of the eyes, to the bottom of the eyes, and then to the outer edge
Again, it’s important that under eye concealers have anti-aging ingredients, such as:
· Anti-aging peptides
· Natural minerals
· Antioxidants like green tea
· Extracts like grapefruit
· Vitamin E properties
· Coenzyme Q10
“Beauty products just don’t have to hide those pesky imperfections and blemishes because now they can nourish our skin and reverse premature skin aging,” said the spokesperson.
