Halloween decorations are showing up everywhere and the kids are getting anxious to carve out a pumpkin for a jack o lantern.  Pumpkin patch pick your own pumpkins for kids is a popular Fall event.

Here are two places in the Vegas Valley where the family can go to pick pumpkins and have a little farm fun.

This year the pumpkin patch opened on the first of October along with a maze made of straw bales.   The maze is said to be even larger than last year and will surely be a fun activity for all ages.  The cost for the pumpkins chosen will be fifty cents per pound.

There are other fruits and vegetables available for self picking along with those already harvested at the checkout counter.    The freshly made apple cider is highly recommended. Please bring cash as the check out is not set up for checks or credit cards.
