Pianist Joyce Yang’s summer engagements

See also

Following up on a busy season of concertizing, which also included the release of her Wild Dreams solo album, pianist Joyce Yang will spend the summer performing concertos both with the New York Philharmonic and at the Aspen Music Festival. Her stay at Aspen will also include a solo recital and a chamber music program entitled Tango, Song & Dance that will have her perform with violinist Augustin Hadelich and guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas. This latter recital will probably take, as its point of departure, the recording that Hadelich and Sáinz Villegas released in April of 2013. Like Wild Dreams, Histoire du Tango was released on the Avie label, a little less than a year before Yang's recording. On their CD Hadelich and Sáinz Villegas performed music by Astor Piazzolla, Manuel de Falla, Nicolò Paganini, and Pablo de Sarasate. Yang's schedule will also include more tradition chamber music (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Robert Schumann) at the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival. Details are as follows:
