Photos of Shaykh Afeefuddin Al-Jailani's visit to the Bay Area (Photos)

May 13, 2010

In February of this year, the Bay Area received a special guest who spent time teaching, advising and sharing gems of knowledge with us. Shaykh Afeefuddin Al-Jailani graced us with several opportunities to learn from him, as well as, benefit from him. In the photo slideshow below, you will see Shaykh Afeefuddin delivering the khutbah (Friday sermon) and a free public lecture at the Muslim Community Association (Santa Clara). The slideshow also shows Shaykh Afeefuddin at a majlis (circle of knowledge), teaching a full day workshop and at a mawlid (celebrating the life of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him) gathering. The photo slideshow also showcases Bay Area scholars: Shaykh Abdurrahman Tahir and Sidi Yahya Rhodus. Finally, a photo of Shaykh Afeefuddin assisting a new Muslim sister recite her testification of faith as she enters into Islam.

We are blessed to announce that  Shaykh Afeefuddin has launched his new website - http://www.DarulJailani.net. In addition to this website, he has also launched his charity organization's website - http://www.AlWariseen.org

On his sites, you will find photos from past events from around the world, video clips, his full biography and links to his Facebook and Twitter networks.
