A dozen heavy-hitting bands rocked Chicagoland fans yesterday on two stages for the fifteenth annual OzzFest metal music festival at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre in Tinley Park.
The first stage, sponsored by Monster Energy drink, hosted bands Kataklysm, Goatwhore, Saviours, Skeletonwitch, Kingdom of Sorrow, Drowning Pool, and Black Label Society. Enthusiastic fans took advantage of the crowd surfing and headbanging opportunities. The ampitheatre main stage was warmed up first by Florida natives Nonpoint. Next up were high energy Devil Driver, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford's solo project Halford, comeback rockers Motley Crue, and staple headliner Ozzy Osbourne. In addition to a wide variety of metal music, this year's festival offers rock-related merchendise, concert t-shirts, and even a circus freak show (complete with tattooed tiger man).
With a number of exceptional photos from the bands Drowning Pool and Black Label Society, separate photo slideshows for each are to follow shortly. Click on the slideshow (to right of article) for photo selections of Devil Driver, Rob Halford, and Motley Crue from OzzFest 2010 in Chicago.
