Photos of Olympic Animal Sanctuary dogs have been released

On Wednesday afternoon, the Guardians of Rescue released recent photos of some of the dogs who arrived from the Olympic Animal Sanctuary in Forks, Wash.

The rescue agency stated the following, along with a photo of some dogs who are in new, temporary kennel runs:

Pictured here in the new kennels recently set up. We have our work cut out for us as this will be a very timely operation. Bless you all who support our efforts.

The rescue agency also addressed the many rumors and allegations which have been swirling via social media:

as it relates to Olympic animal sanctuary dogs. everyone is working diligently to try and secure 124 dogs on Christmas day, just to be clear,the Guardians of Rescue will report the facts and only the facts as it relates all the dogs. photos will be shared some time today, the rumors that have been circulating are absurd , and those that suggest a reality show is filming this, you should be ashamed of your self,please do not question the integrity of our organization.

Along with a photo of the new, temporary kennel runs, was a photo of the custom-built crates in the back of the semi-trailer which made the trek from Forks, Wash. The rescue agency assured those who have been concerned that there was adequate ventilation and the truck was climate controlled for the comfort and safety of the dogs inside.

Best Friends has also weighed in on the recent situation with Markwell and the OAS dogs.

Barbara Williamson, Media Relations Manager for Best Friends Animal Society stated:

Best Friends stands by its original offer to help the animals of Olympic Animal Sanctuary. Although Mr. Markwell discontinued his communication with Best Friends, we are relieved to hear reports that he has sought help from Guardians of Rescue. We will contact Guardians of Rescue to offer the same level of support we offered Mr. Markwell initially. We'll also direct any assistance and resources offered from partner rescues and supporters to Guardians of Rescue as they lead this massive effort.
