Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for Great Gatsby to hit theaters in 2012. This new telling of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald stars Leonardo Dicaprio, and Celeb Buzz had the first photos from the set on Thursday. These photos feature Dicaprio with long time friend Tobey Maguire. The pair star in the flick together. Check out the photos here.
Great Gatsby is the next film from writer and director Baz Luhrmann, and it also stars Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan. Production has just started on this film with Dicaprio heading to the set for the first time this week. Currently, the film is set for a November 2012 release date, and Luhrmann plans to release the film in 3D.
Mulligan had this to say about the project in a recent interview, according to Huffington Post:
"It's daunting. It's the biggest thing I've been involved in -- it's strange going from a little off-Broadway play to such a big thing, but I'm raring to go."
Fans are waiting to see how this film does on the big screen. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
