Country music world mourning star who died where "soul mate' died
Top news coming in to a chilly San Francisco today is about Mindy McCready. Mindy McCready, the popular country music star, died after committing suicide.
McCready is said to have shot herself on the exact same porch where her boyfriend died.
San Francisco resident, Amy Tan, says: "How tragic is this? The country music world has lost one of its best musicians."
McCready is believed to have shot the family dog before turning the gun on herself, says TMZ.
The country singer had been troubled for a long time, says Newser.com, and she was found dead at her Arkansas home on Sunday.
McCready had informed an interviewer from the UK's Daily Mail that the dog had found the bullet that had killed her boyfriend, David Wilson. Wilson had killed himself in the same house in what seemed to be another suicide case.
Is McCready a suspect in David Wilson's death? New reports are coming through saying only that the investigation is ongoing, says the New York Daily News.
The internet is today lit up with tributes to Mindy McCready, who, according to the AP, tried to commit suicide 3 times already and who went on to call her life "a beautiful mess and organized chaos."
Wynonna Judd tweeted :
"Oh my! Mindy. Dear sweet girl. This is so sad. It just breaks my heart what addiction continues to take from this life."
American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, wrote:
"I grew up listening to Mindy McCready... so sad for her family tonight. Many prayers are going out to them."
Mindy McCready was just 37 years old. She leaves behind two small sons.
