Mill Street Brews in Southbridge, located in an old textile mill, was host to a rock fest last week with headliner LA Guns, a Los Angeles based heavy metal hair band with sixteen albums and known for such songs as It's Over Now, The Ballad of Jayne and Killing Machine to name a few. Their new CD, Hollywood Forever is available on Amazon.com and is also available on a vinyl LP.
The evening started with the Scotty Dunbar Band. Dunbar is a Boston based recording artist who released his debut album in 2012 entitled, In a Mellow Mood on Down Boy Records. Plasma Films will be releasing a new documentary entitled “Scotty Dunbar - The Fire That Won’t Go Out.” The film is being directed by Brian Ouelette, a two-time Telly Award winner. Dunbar will be releasing his follow up to "in A Mellow Mood" in 2014. Band members are Scotty Dunbar, lead vocals, JC or Boston Bassman on bass, Izzy Rock on drums and Matt Forsythe on guitar.
Sakara, a hard rock band based in Springfield, Massachusetts went on next. The band is Dan O’Brien on vocals and guitar, Cody Bryden, lead/rhythm guitar, Joe Rogers on bass and Mike Bilodea on drums. This band is signed to Pavement Music and put out their debut album in 2013.
Demons Alley followed with a hard hitting sound that shook the room. Led by Pink aka Jimmi Mahalares, Matti Mayhem on drums, Dave Meyer on lead guitar and Nico Youngblood on bass. Check out the band here: http://www.demonsalley.com
