Photos, 'Harry Potter' world premiere: Dan, Emma, Rupert then and now -- The three young principle actors in the series of eight Harry Potter movies adapted from the novels of J. K. Rowling have spent half of their lives in front of the camera. As the series of films comes to an end next week, the three actors posed together for the last time at a Harry Potter world premiere in London on Thursday. Photographers were there to capture the moment, and those who have followed the movies since the beginning back in 2001 remember the photos of the trio, now young adults, as young children.
The earliest photos released again today are of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in the year 2000 when they were first announced as the principle cast for the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone. The most recent photos are from today's world premiere at Tralfagar and Leicester Squares in London.
Movie audiences have watched the trio grow up, literally, in film. While there have been many child actors in movies over the years, this is the first time that three children have appeared in the same starring roles for eight consecutive, back-to-back films.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will open on Friday, July 15, 2011.
