If you’re heading out I-8 to see the wildflowers (are there any this year?), plan it so you can swing by the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo. Time your arrival to catch one of the hour-long train rides to the tunnel near Tecate, Mexico! Check their website http:/www.sdrm.org for dates, times, and fees. And, if you have more than an hour, you can spend all the time you want climbing on and looking over all sorts of train cars and railway memorabilia.

If your in the mood, a photo shoot at the Museum will allow you to use every lens in your gadget bag. And, if you’re a black-and-white photo buff, there are untold venues just begging to be converted to look like Ansel Adams or Matthew Brady did the photography!

The museum and train ride are very kid and photographer friendly, so head out there soon. “All aboorrd!”
