Photographer struck and killed while snapping shots of Justin Bieber's Ferrari

A white male photographer in his late 20's was struck and killed by oncoming traffic when he attempted to capture pictures of the occupants in what is believed to be Justin Bieber's Ferrari, reports NBC News on Jan, 2.

The incident occurred after a California Highway Patrol officer stopped Bieber's Ferrari for speeding on Northbound 405 Freeway.

During the stop, the photographer crossed Sepulveda thoroughfare, the point where Bieber's car exited 405, to snap shots of the inside of the Ferrari from a narrow divider.

The Highway Patrol officer reportedly warned the photographer on several occasions that he was in a dangerous position.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Dec. 1, the photographer was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling south on Sepulveda.

According to Madeline Nightingale, the watch commander of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Bureau, the photographer was pronounced dead at UCLA Medical Center shortly after the incident occurred.

The driver of the car, a woman with two young children, stopped to offer assistance at the scene. No charges have been filed against the driver.

The driver of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari is believed to be a friend of Bieber.

“From what we understand, the car was owned by Justin Bieber, but he was not in the vehicle at the time,” Nightingale told NBC.

The incident is still under investigation.
