The November issue of Glamour magazine features a several-page spread of seven nude plus-size models that has everyone talking about how models should look. Glamour magazine is single handedly trying to change the way we think about models and ourselves.
In August, Glamour magazine ran a non-airbrushed nude photo of Lizzie Miller, a 12-14 plus size model. The public reaction to the photo was so positive that Lizzie Miller appeared on The Today Show, CNN, Good Morning America and other shows. So Glamour magazine has done it again.
The models include Crystal Renn who is the highest paid plus-size model in America and recently released a book, Hungry about modeling and plus size world. For more information about Crystal Renn's book, click here. Lizzie Miller, the featured nude model photo from the August issue of Glamour. Kate Dillon who at 35 is the oldest of the women featured. The other plus size models include Ashley Graham, Amy Lemons, Anasa Sims (Beverly Johnson’s daughter), and Jenny Runk.

Yes, these women are more realistic. But I have two points to make.
1. Who decides the cutoff point for fatness. We all know that women come in many more sizes than the ones pictured here. The range of sizes shown isn't realy that diverse--they all look about the same size. The truth is we don't want to see 300 pound women because fat (actual fat now) isn't sexy. Which is why women with roll aren't shown to begin with.
Point 2. Why do women always have to be shown embracing one another, laying on top of one another/ If this were a mens ad, especially one with realistic men we'd call it gay and cringe at their hairy chests and beer bellies.
Why do women have to be nude just to talk about size. Its no worse than those PETA ads with nude and exploited women
